Welcome – I’m glad you’re here!
My name is Connor and I’m excited to be doing my Master in Mental Health Counseling internship at The Counseling Place. I take a person-centered, strengths-based approach to counseling. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable to open up on the struggles you are facing. I take a collaborative approach and meet you where you are in order to help guide you towards your goals, all at your pace.
Having been a Behavioral Health Technician in a treatment center before beginning my graduate studies, I have lots of experience working with clients in addiction recovery, as well as a variety of co-occurring mental health disorders. If you are seeking sobriety, I can provide nonjudgmental support throughout your recovery journey.
Being a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I’m well-versed in the many issues that our community faces. I’m excited to work with clients of all backgrounds, and I’m committed to using a multicultural approach to my work as a therapist.
Outside of session, in the winter I’m most likely snowboarding. Other times of the year, I love to take my dog to the many amazing dog parks in the Denver area. I love swimming, laying in the sun, spending time with my friends and family, and traveling the world.
If you’re ready to begin therapy and think we would be a good fit, don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m looking forward to supporting your healing and growth.
